Apply now

Applications are now open for the 2021 Litchfield Council Community Grants Scheme, which turns recycling into funds for community groups and organisations to access through an application process.

Sporting and community groups and organisations can apply for a grant of up to $5,000 for projects, events or activities that show benefits to the wider Litchfield community.

Litchfield Council Mayor Doug Barden said there are many smaller groups needing a helping hand to fund ideas, events or projects and we are pleased to be able to offer these grants to them.

“All money raised from the community recycling their 10c containers and old car batteries at the Waste Transfer Stations is put into the Community Grants Scheme, giving back to eligible groups to build on the hard work that they deliver to their community” The Mayor said.

An Information Session will be held on Monday 20 September at 6.00pm, where community groups and organisations can drop into Council and receive some assistance and advice regarding the application process.

Applications for the 2021 Litchfield Council Community Grants Scheme close Friday 22 October 2021.

All applicants will be invited to attend an Awards Ceremony in November 2021, at which successful applicants will be announced.
