Council Services and Facilities Update

The NT Government announced the lockdown has been lifted.

There are however some restrictions still in place.

At last night’s Special Meeting, Council endorsed the Municipal Plan and Budget 2021-22, which includes the first Going Green Rebate for cloth nappies and reusable sanitary items in the NT.

Thank you to those who submitted feedback for the Litchfield Council Municipal Plan and Budget 2021-22.

Together with your feedback the Plan will be finalised and presented at a Special Council Meeting 30 June 2021.

Council has always, and will continue to, work through the details with the relevant authorities and will contest any proposals that are not in the best interest of our community.

Dog Registration Amnesty

From 6 April to 30 June 2021, Council is offering FREE dog registration* for all dogs in the Litchfield municipality.

The FREE registration* includes a FREE microchip if required.

Road Opening Notice - Kentish Road

Litchfield Council proposes a new road opening pursuant to Part 12.3 section 185(e) of the Local Government Act, and hereby gives notice in accordance with Part 7 section 18 of the Local Government (Administration) Regulations.

Final Call Out for Artists

Entries close Friday 19 February for the 2021 Litchfield Council Art Exhibition to be held on the weekend of 7 & 8 March.

Artwork doesn't need to be submitted until Wednesday 3 March, but entries must be in now!

In 2020, we saw a variety of art from over 40 local artists across Litchfield.

Draft Litchfield Sport, Recreation and Open Space Strategy

Council is developing a Litchfield Sport, Recreation and Open Space Strategy to effectively plan facilities to cater for community needs.
