📢 ANNOUNCEMENT
The Northern Territory Government has just announced under the Northern Territory Pandemic Plan, the Greater Darwin region, which includes the Litchfield municipality, Palmerston and Katherine will be in lockdown from Monday 16 August 12pm, until Thursday 19 August 12pm.
Litchfield Council advises the status of the following services and facilities:
- Council office is closed, however, the phone lines are still available to contact Council
- Thorak Regional Cemetery is closed
- Humpty Doo, Howard Springs and Berry Springs Waste Transfer Stations are open for essential household general waste only
- Freds Pass Recreation Reserve is closed
- Berry Springs Recreation Reserve is closed
- Council's other recreation reserves are open, however, the toilet facilities will be closed (please be sure you follow the 5 rules of leaving your home)
- Taminmin Library will be closed
- Council ranger services will be available for emergencies
