Before You Visit

To help keep Council's Waste Transfer Stations safe and efficient, please:

  1. Plan your arrival: The last trailer load is accepted at 5:45 pm. Please allow sufficient time to unload your waste and leave the facility before the 6:00 pm closing time.
  2. Separate recyclable materials from general waste before arriving.
  3. Check that your waste is accepted at your intended facility.
  4. Secure all loads before travelling.
  5. Stop at the gatehouse, show ID, and follow staff directions.
  6. Keep children and pets safely secured in vehicles.
  7. Observe site speed limits and traffic management arrangements.
  8. Do not enter operational areas or unload waste without permission.
  9. Ask staff if you are unsure where an item should be placed.

Council staff may refuse loads that are unsafe, contaminated or do not meet site acceptance requirements.
