The Department of Primary Industry and Fisheries (DPIF) have confirmed that the banana freckle pest has been discovered on one property in Humpty Doo and one property in Acacia Hills—the first such infections in either area. DPIF has declared an eradication circle of one kilometre surrounding each of the two infected properties, with a surveillance circle of two kilometres out from each property.
