On Australia Day, Litchfield Council presents Local Government Awards in three categories. Sponsored by the Department of Local Government, these awards recognise the personal achievement or contribution to the community which citizens have made.
The award categories are:
| Citizen | Recognises personal endeavour, achievement and worthwhile community input from individuals. Aged 30 and over | Nominate now » |
| Young Citizen | Recognises personal endeavour, achievement and worthwhile community input from individuals. Aged between 14 and 29 | Nominate now » |
| Community Group | Recognises the achievements of a group or entire community. It may be a specific community project which deserves recognition or the continuous work of a local organisation. | Nominate now » |
HOW TO NOMINATE A COMMUNITY SUPER STAR:
Please complete the nomination forms above and return to Litchfield Council by Tuesday 6 January 2015. Individuals and organisations may submit nominations.
Award recipients will be published in the Northern Territory News and on the Australia Day Council (NT) website on 26 January 2015.
