Litchfield Council would like to advise that work to relocate the overhead power lines along Girraween Road, near the intersection of Girraween and Anglesey Roads, is due to begin.

The work is part of a $2.5 million project to build a single lane roundabout and upgrade the intersection, a project that is funded by the Federal Government’s Black Spot and Roads to Recovery programs.

Power and Water contractors are due to start work this week and are expecting to finish the work by mid-April. Power and Water will be advising residents about any potential disruption to the power supply during the relocation phase.

There may be some disruption to local traffic during the works and traffic control will be in place during this initial stage of the project. This work is expected to take place outside of peak traffic times.

The road works to construct the roundabout at the Girraween and Anglesey Roads intersection are scheduled to begin in late April.
