Litchfield Council is continuing to accept domestic and commercial waste via its three Waste Transfer Stations as an essential service.

The Waste Transfer Stations are open and will accept waste on an essential basis only with entry to the sites subject to the Chief Health Officer's guidelines.

Facemasks are to be worn at all times and staff directions adhered to.

If you bring green waste ❌, scrap steel ❌, tyres ❌etc. you will also be turned away. 

Litchfield Council is responding to Animal Management requests and can now collect stray dogs and return impounded animals during their normal hours of operations of the Rangers. 

Customers can phone Council and report a dog and rangers will make arrangements.

To ensure the community and our staff are safe, please only contact Council if it is urgent and you must wear a mask if meeting a Ranger.

Thorak Regional Cemetery will remain closed to the public, with all enquiries being attended to via phone 8947 0903. Funerals are able to take place with limited numbers (10). Council will conduct funerals at the request of the family.
