The Role

This position is responsible for ensuring all financial records are accurately entered and maintained while updating procedures to assist the Manager Corporate Services. Your prior experience in a similar role, coupled with your proven supervisory experience of transactional accounting functions (AP/AR), will see you held in high regard.

Key responsibilities include

  • Prepare and oversee financial and statutory returns and financial reporting requirements (including month and year end)
  • Maintain the general ledger including balance sheet and GL reconciliations
  • Supervision of a team (4), the Customer Service Officer, Customer Service Trainee, Rates Officer and Finance Officer.

About You:

You are Diploma or Advanced Diploma qualified, with strong problem solving and critical thinking abilities. You are an excellent communicator in both written and spoken English and are able to remain professional and friendly when dealing with internal and external stakeholders or colleagues of various statures.

You are driven, motivated and used to working to tight deadlines. You will have a positive, proactive and flexible approach to your work. Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel are essential. Prior experience using Authority, would be highly regarded.
