Litchfield Council; Power of Sale; Occupied Lots

Today Letters of Demand pertaining to the property within the municipality were sent by our legal firm Cridland smb.

A list of properties was provided by this office in relation to outstanding rates and Litchfield Council’s Power of Sale. Most of the properties are Occupied Lots and the owners have been given to the 26 September 2014 to take action to pay the rates owing.

Council will receive phone call and possible media attention in the coming week and beyond on this issue.

Advice to any resident contacting your office direct is “to seek a meeting with the rates section to discuss a plan to pay the outstanding rates”

This is an ongoing process to recover rates
