Litchfield Council held its 9th Land Auction last night which attracted its fastest sale to date. The auction commenced at 6pm with all 13 lots of land sold within an hour.

Similar to the 8th land auction held in December, the area of Southport dominated the sales with the average cost of a 2,000 square meter lot selling for $125,000.

The 13 lots sold in 9 parcels raising $1.5 million with Litchfield Council recovering $426,606 in outstanding rates.

The auction highlights the interest in living in the Litchfield Municipality. With a number of initiatives on the horizon for the area this can only mean good news for Litchfield residents.

A tenth auction is planned for later in the year.
