Permits to burn are available until 30th April from your local Volunteer Bushfire Brigade Mon – Sat from 8am to 6pm.

Permits to Burn are required by the Northern Territory Fire and Rescue Service year round in the rural area. Permits to Burn are available to Darwin/Rural Landholders during November to April. Contact your local Fire Station or Volunteer Fire Brigade for inspections and issuing of Permits to Burn. Neighbours must be notified at least 48 hours before applying for a Permit to Burn. Clear identification of lot numbers would be appreciated by the Fire and Rescue Services. The Northern Territory Fire and Rescus Service encourage all landholders to consider alternatives to burning wherever possible.
