Litchfield Council has recently undertaken to review and update the Litchfield Council Planning - Development Guidelines, which has now been renamed Litchfield Council - Development and Subdivision Standards.

Council, as the local government authority, is responsible for setting the minimum requirements for Council-owned road reserves, stormwater drainage, waste, street lighting, and council-owned public open spaces for new developments and subdivisions within the Municipality.

The purpose of this update is to ensure that the document:

  • Accurately captures Council's current requirements and practices,
  • Is presented in a user-friendly format, and
  • Addresses all areas of Council responsibility, including existing and new asset classes, such as waste, street lights, and public open space.

The Litchfield Council Draft Development and Subdivision Standards have been release for public consultation ending Friday 16 June, 2017.

A Form F - Value of Assets Spreadsheet has been developed to produce a consistent value for assets across all developments.
