Power and Water have advised Council that Darwin River Dam has commenced spilling.
Darwin River Dam is an ungated, fixed crest dam, and flows over the spillway cannot be regulated.
Spilling from the Dam occurs in most years and is expected behaviour.
Please stay vigilant and be aware that this overflow may cause sudden changes in levels at road crossings in the region.
