ANZAC Day commemorations in Litchfield

Commemorations will take place at the Humpty Doo Village Green for ANZAC Day on Wednesday 25 April 2018 from 9.00am.

Litchfield Council Mayor Maree Bredhauer said this event is presented by the Lions Club of Litchfield Inc. and is an important day for the community.

“ANZAC Day really showcases the community spirit in Litchfield as we come together and remember all Australian and New Zealanders who served and died during war, conflicts and peacekeeping operations.” the Mayor said.

ANZAC Day marchers will assemble at Taminmin High School in Challoner Circuit at 9.00am with the Memorial Service commencing at 9.15am which includes a wreath laying ceremony at the Cenotaph.

Mayor Bredhauer will address the community at the service, with food and refreshments available at the conclusion of the official proceedings.
