Deputy Mayor commences a new tenure

Following a 12-month tenure in the Deputy Mayor role, Councillor Kirsty Sayers-Hunt has been re-elected by her fellow Elected Members to the role for a further 12 months at last week’s Council meeting.

Litchfield Council Mayor Maree Bredhauer said Councillor Sayers-Hunt has had a great first year as Deputy Mayor and will continue to represent the Litchfield community in her continued role.

“I would like to thank Councillor Sayers-Hunt for her support and commitment to the role of Deputy Mayor over the past 12 months and congratulate her on her continued tenure.” the Mayor said.

Council resolved in September 2017 to adopt the Elected Members Policy which states the Deputy Mayor shall be appointed for a period of one year by way of vote at the Council meeting.
