Howard Springs to Coolalinga shared pedestrian and cycle path

Construction Commencement

Dear Resident,
A new shared pedestrian and cycle path will be constructed between Whitewood Road in Howard Springs and Grice Crescent in Coolalinga.
The path will follow the route of the National Australian Rail Corridor and will promote an alternative to vehicle travel for residents, visitors and commuters between Coolalinga, Howard Springs, Palmerston and Darwin.
Construction will commence Monday 1 July 2019. The works will be undertaken Monday to Friday between the hours of 7am and 5pm.
To complete these works, asbestos will be removed from a section of the road corridor between Stow Road and Aken Road, in line with regulatory requirements. Pedestrians and surrounding residents are advised to adhere to fencing and signage in place.
Queries can be directed to the Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics’ Project Manager, Feroz M Ibrahim on 08 8899 4467 or email ferozkhan.mohamedIbrahim@nt.gov.au.
