Following a recent playground audit report, and to ensure the Humpty Doo Village Green playground is safe for all users, Council has removed two of the smaller slides and rehabilitated removal sites at Humpty Doo Village Green.
In investigating the existing larger dome slide that is still closed to the public, Council considered the cost of installing soft fall and the remaining life span of the structure.
As a result, the dome slide structure will be removed by the end of this week.
Council is looking at options to update the playground at the Village Green through grant funding schemes throughout the 2019/20 financial year and will continue to engage with the community on this project.
