Litchfield Council is pleased to announce that entries are now open for the Litchfield Women in Business Network ‘Visions of Balance’ Art Exhibition to be held on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 March 2019, in celebration of International Women’s Day.

The two-day weekend public art exhibition will showcase work from local women artists.

Litchfield Council Mayor Maree Bredhauer said the art exhibition is an excellent opportunity for our local artists to share their work and for all of us to celebrate our talented Litchfield women.

“We are calling for local women artists to register their art work and be in the chance to win a $200 viewer’s choice award to be judged by the public attending the exhibition.” the Mayor said.

Entries into the art exhibition can include 2d and 3d works including painting, works on paper, sculpture, ceramics, wood, jewellery or textiles and metalwork. Works on paper can include painting with oils, watercolours, pastels, charcoal, printmaking, textiles backed on paper and photographs.

This is the 3rd year Litchfield Council has celebrated International Women’s Day by recognising International Women’s Day as part of a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women, and this art exhibition is Litchfield Council recognising our local achievers.
