The Litchfield Council owned Humpty Doo Village Green has received a new playground chosen by the community and funded by the NT Government's Special Community Assistance and Local Employment (SCALE) grant.
The community were asked to provide feedback on what play equipment options they would like to see and as a result this playground was designed and constructed.
In the feedback the community also told us that there needed to be shade and more seating. Council has listened to that feedback and have installed a picnic table and bench seat right near the playground all covered in shade.
As part of the SCALE funding, Livingstone Recreation Reserve also received a new playground, which was again chosen by the community.
These playgrounds are a collaborative effort between Council, NT Government and the community.
