Many things are happening throughout the Litchfield area at the moment.
Community Consultations
Firstly residents, especially those in the Howard Springs area, are invited to comment and/or make suggestions as to the improvement of the Howard Park Recreation Reserve in Whitewood Road. We have over 160 responses so far and there is still time for you to have your say. This closes on Oct 12. Council is always looking at ways to improve our reserves so that they are well utilised and provide the service the community wants.
The Coolalinga /Fred’s Pass Rural Activity Centre Plan is in the second stage of community consultation. NT Planning Commission representatives will be at the markets, Coolalinga Woolworths and Central till the 16 October, 2017. Check days and times on their web-site, Council’s web-site and other advertising.
Get along to these pop-up stalls or comment on their web site to make your opinion known.
Another stall will be at Coolalinga Central on Saturday 14 October, seeking your views on a proposed realignment, upgrade and sealing of Gunn Point Road. This is an NT Govt initiative in support of the proposed Sea Dragon Prawn Aquaculture project but will have spinoffs for recreation, potential urban and industrial ventures.
