We are inviting feedback on our draft Municipal Plan 2026–2027 including the Long-Term Financial Plan 2026–2036.

These plans outline how Council will deliver services, maintain infrastructure and plan for the future of our growing community.

What's included in the draft plans?

The Draft Municipal Plan 2026-2027 sets out:

  • Council’s Annual Budget and Service Delivery Plan
  • Key priorities 
  • Planned capital works and infrastructure investment
  • How services will be delivered across the municipality.

The Long-Term Financial Plan 2026-2036 outlines how Council will:

  • Maintain financial sustainability over the next 10 years
  • Balance investment in infrastructure with responsible budgeting
  • Respond to future challenges and growth. 

Key highlights

  • $8.5 million capital works program to maintain and improve infrastructure
  • Continued investment in roads, community facilities and recreation reserves 
  • 4% increase in rates and 4% increase in waste charges, keeping costs as affordable as possible
  • An increase in revenue to support service delivery 
  • Focus on long-term financial sustainability and asset management.

Council Officers will be at the Litchfield Show at Livingstone Recreation Reserve on 23 and 24 May 2026.

All submissions will be considered by Council prior to adoption of the final Municipal Plan 2026–2027 including the Long-Term Financial Plan 2026–2036 at the June Council meeting.
