We are looking for an inspirational leader to join us as Asset Management Engineer.
Reporting to the Manager Infrastructure and Assets, this role is responsible for the ongoing development, operation and continuous improvement of Council's asset management system and to provide full asset life cycle management of council's infrastructure and assets.
The Asset Management Officer will review and update Council's Asset Management Policy to meet current best practice. They will also develop, implement, monitor and report on 10-year Asset Management Plans for all classes of Council assets including roads, drainage, pathway, signage, buildings, plant and equipment and recreational reserves.
As well as managing the collection and reporting of data on the condition, financial performance and service delivery of Council's major asset groups, you will also manage asset registers.
In this role, you will also:
- Identify and implement procedures and processes to integrate Council's asset management system
- Develop annual programs for asset renewals, including undertaking inspections
- Manage minor projects, including civil infrastructure and consultancy-based projects
- Assist in the development of annual financial asset reports, Grants Commission reporting and asset valuation figures
- Manage and report on spatial data
