Hello to all
I hope everyone out there are all good, I have been busy with people dropping in to see me, been helping out with their problems, there has been some good things that people have come in to see me about as well, not many, but it's been good to have a chat with everyone.
Berry Springs Markets
Berry Springs markets, they are on the last Sunday of every month it is a good little community effort that is put in by the market people they just need more people visiting from everywhere. It is a nice Sunday morning outing if you're interested in somewhere to go on the last Sunday of each month, they now have a new market coordinator her name is Melanie. I was talking with Melanie and some other stallholders at the recent markets and we are looking for something a bit different for the Berry springs markets, one idea was, have an auction. To hold an auction we need an auctioneer that is fun, can sell ice to Eskimos, and really engage with the people to make it a fun event. The auction will offer goods that people bring on the day to be auctioned, the items could be toys, a washing machine or camping gear, it is an idea's so if anybody can add to the idea that can help us along that would be great.
Taminmin Library
I was at Taminmin Library last Wednesday, Taminmin Library is what we call our local library which you can visit, borrow books, and use their computers. Lots of facilities are there; call the Library on 8988 1200. The wonderful Library team and helpers will explain what's on and how to join, which is free. While I was there I browsed a section called The Litchfield Collection, it has its special little room that has all the history of Litchfield in it, I started to have a look at some things and I think I could have got lost in all that history for hours, it was amazing.
Public Meeting – Howard Springs, Wednesday 24 April.
Our next outside meeting of the councillors will be held at Whitewood Hall, Howard Springs Reserve Park on Wednesday, 24 April. It gives you plenty of time if you have any problems or have some good things to discuss, come and tell us about them, it starts at 7pm. North Ward Councillor, Matthew Salter has organised for Inpex to attend to give a presentation on the progress of the Itchys project. For those who do not like speaking in public, please write your question down and we can answer them for you on the night. Come along and enjoy the evening.
Until next time behave, be good, but have lots of fun.
