Litchfield Council recently commissioned an independent audit of the playgrounds at Humpty Doo Village Green.
The playground audit identified that three free standing slides urgently require soft fall to meet Australian Standards for playgrounds and ensure children safety.
Council has sought contractors to install soft fall as a matter of priority. In the meantime, the three slides will be unavailable for public use with temporary fencing and signage around each slide.
For soft fall to be installed excavation and curbing works are required.
Until this soft fall has been installed, the slides will be unavailable for use.
Some equipment will not be impacted by the works and continue to be available.
We thank you for your patience as we ensure our playground is safe for all users.
