This significant community upgrade delivers on the 2021 federal election commitment by Hon Marion Scrymgour MP, aimed at boosting local sport and recreation opportunities in the Litchfield region.
🔨 Project Overview:
- $6 million for lighting and electrical upgrades at Norbuilt Oval, soccer ovals, and Swamp Dogs Rugby Union fields
- $4 million for a new multi-court netball facility, including a car park, accessible change rooms, and public amenities
📅 Key Milestones:
- Construction starts: 2025
- Completion target: June 2026

- RFT25-490 – Detailed Design of Netball Courts and Pavilion (Closing 22 April 2025, 2:00 PM ACST)
- RFT25-497 – Electrical and Lighting Upgrades – Package 1 (Closing 21 April 2025, 2:00 PM ACST)
These upgrades will allow for increased evening use, improved accessibility, and greater participation in local sport.
