Appointment of Litchfield Council Chief Executive Officer

At a special meeting of Council Wednesday 18th November, Official Manager Frank Crawley appointed Ms Kaylene Conrick as Litchfield Council’s new Chief Executive Officer.

Community Workshop

The Planning Commission invites you to attend a community workshop on Wednesday 18 November to provide input to a draft Litchfield Subregional Land Use Plan. The workshop will provide an understanding of future land use requirements, by identifying the essential characteristics and needs of the Litchfield municipality.

The Litchfield Council 2015 General Election is fast approaching, with nominations for candidates now open.

Reseal Program

The 2015/2016 reseal program is due to kick off on Wednesday 28/10/15 and will take until approximately the end of December to complete all 26 roads, including 3 sections on Girraween Road between Coolalinga and Anglesey Road.

New roundabout could help save lives

Safety is expected to improve at a key intersection in the rural area after Litchfield Council built a $2.25 million roundabout to help avoid accidents.

Litchfield Council welcomes the release of the Northern Territory Planning Commission’s consultation paper on the Litchfield Sub Regional Land Use Plan.

Litchfield Council hosted the NT Planning Commission today at Council Chambers, where following an information sharing discussion with Council staff, Planning Commission chairman Gary Nairn spoke with the media about the process of developing the new land use plan, and consultation with the community.

What’s happening in October from the works department

A full maintenance grading round is to commence week starting 30^th September. This will include reinstating table drains, offlet drains and table drain blocks in preparation for the wet season.
